This summary provides key points from our Privacy Notice — you can find more detail on any of these below.
What personal information do we process? When you visit, use, or navigate our Services, we may process personal information depending on how you interact with us, the choices you make, and the products and features you use.
Do we process any sensitive personal information? We do not process sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs.
Do we collect information from third parties? We may collect information from public databases, marketing partners, social media platforms, and other outside sources.
How do we keep your information safe? We have organizational and technical processes in place to protect your personal information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
What are your rights? Depending on where you're located, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information — see "What Are Your Privacy Rights?" below.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products, participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise contact us. This may include: names, email addresses, usernames, passwords, phone numbers, billing addresses, and contact preferences.
Sensitive Information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment Data. All payment data is handled and stored by Stripe. See Stripe's privacy notice at stripe.com/privacy.
Social Media Login Data. If you register using a social media account (e.g., Google), we collect certain profile information from that provider.
Application Data. If you use our application, we may collect, with your permission: geolocation information, mobile device access (calendar, reminders, and similar features), mobile device data (device ID, model, OS, IP address), and push notification tokens. This is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of the app, for troubleshooting, and for internal analytics.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services — such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, referring URLs, and information about how you use our Services. This includes log and usage data, device data, and location data (which you can opt out of via your device settings).
Google API. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We may obtain information about you from public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, social media platforms, and other third parties, for purposes of targeted advertising and event promotion.
We process your information to: facilitate account creation and authentication; deliver and improve our Services; respond to inquiries and offer support; send administrative and marketing information (in accordance with your preferences); protect our Services against fraud; evaluate and improve our Services and marketing; comply with legal obligations; and personalize event recommendations based on your preferences and location.
We may share your data with third-party vendors, service providers, and contractors who perform services on our behalf, including:
We may also share information in connection with a business transfer (merger, sale, financing, or acquisition), and when we use Google Maps Platform APIs to provide location-specific services.
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain the security of our Services, prevent crashes, save your preferences, and support basic site functions. We also permit third parties to use tracking technologies for analytics and advertising. Specific details on how you can refuse certain cookies are set out in our Cookie Notice.
We offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies ("AI Products"), provided through third-party AI Service Providers including Anthropic. Your input, output, and personal information may be shared with and processed by these providers to enable your use of our AI Products. Our AI Products support functions such as event classification, content moderation, and personalized recommendations. To opt out, contact us using the information below.
If you register or log in using a third-party social media account, we receive certain profile information from that provider — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. We are not responsible for how your social media provider uses your information; please review their privacy notice directly.
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When we no longer have an ongoing legitimate business need, we will delete or anonymize your information, or securely isolate it until deletion is possible.
We have implemented reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed 100% secure. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.
We do not knowingly collect data from or market to children under 18 years of age. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 18, or that you are the parent or guardian of a minor and consent to that minor's use of the Services. If we learn that we've collected personal information from a user under 18, we will deactivate the account and delete the data. If you become aware of any such data, please contact us at hello@roamtheapp.org.
You may withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal information at any time by contacting us. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting us directly — this won't affect service-related messages necessary for your account. You can review, change, or terminate your account at any time by logging into your account settings or contacting us. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies by default, though this may affect certain features of the Services.
Most web browsers include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. Because no uniform technology standard for DNT signals has been finalized, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this notice accordingly.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by prominently posting a notice or directly notifying you.
If you have questions or comments about this notice, you may email us at hello@roamtheapp.org.
Based on the applicable laws of your country or state of residence, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we collect from you, details about how we've processed it, correct inaccuracies, or delete your personal information. To request to review, update, or delete your personal information, please contact us at hello@roamtheapp.org.
